This is a list of the things I’m currently thinking about, learning, or trying to get better that.1 If you’re looking for my bio (aka. highlights of things that I’ve done), please visit my 💼 Bio 👔 page.
I’m involved in 2-3 companies as a shareholder either through being part of the initial team or through later stage investment. Currently seeing if there is additional value I can add to any of them, either as advisor, or some initiatives. Although as a former founder, sometimes the best way to help is to leave them alone.
IMET MAX X is a program aimed at helping drive social value in Thailand through supporting local Social Enterprises to achieve multiplied success and sustainability using resources available within the IMET MAX program. I’m part of the Mentoring & Academy workstream team whose job it is tocreate a 6 month mentoring program and a training curriculum that utilizes IMET MAX’s 160+ members consisting of leaders in Thailand.
I started consistently running in 2022 when I was part of the IMET MAX program. After finding I enjoyed the routine and overall experience, running in a couple of Half-Marathon competitions, and reading Roundfinger (พี่เอ๋ นิ้วกลม)’s Homo Finisher, I decided to go for a marathon in 2023, which I completed in November.
However, my speed never really improved, and I began getting myself interested in strength training, mobility, etc. as a way of improvement. As someone that’s usually ignorant and slow to understand physical activities and the body, I feel like I’ve started to finally enjoy it, and am now developing a daily and weekly routine to improve my overall fitness, mobility, and strength.
After leaving my last full time job in Jan 2024, I’ve been traveling almost every month. I always suspected I was not the type to be able to spend the rest of my life traveling, and so far (currently June 2024) I seem to have confirmed it. However, it’s been fun figuring out what trips work for me (ones with free time for me to work on my other projects) and what don’t (ones where I’m moving towards the next destination all the time). And I have also greatly enjoyed discovering different cultural norms and stereotypes in different countries.
Nevertheless, I’ll probably continue to travel, but may change to every other month so that there is space to breath in between trips. The objective of the trip will be to see if there are countries outside Thailand that I would be able to live in, especially when I’m older (maybe over 50, 60 years old) and may not be as active.
So the purpose of each trip will be to either 1) explore a new place, or 2) revisit a place I’ve been to for a longer period. Of course there’ll also be the 3) leisure trips like scuba diving, food in Japan, etc.
